Summer is right around the corner, but how do you handle a playdate with a child that misbehaves at your house?

Here is a list our listeners came up with regarding strategies for successful playdates.

  1. Be honest.
  2. Shorten the amount of time of the playdate.
  3. Establish rules up front.
  4. Stop having the child over.
  5. Give them too short of notice so they don’t have time to play.

Do you have any other suggestions on how to handle playdates?

Hi Mom’s and Dad’s. Thank you for stopping by. Now, if you are looking to get the kids/family outta the house may I suggest to you a visit to the Milwaukee Art Museum for the Kohl’s Art Generation Program. I know what you’re asking, “What is the Kohl’s Art Generation Program?” Lemme tell you…

Kohl’s Art Generation is comprised of four educational programs which seek not only to inform kids about art and its value, but also to involve them in hands-on, creative art experiences that whet their appetites for more.

The Kohl’s Art Generation Gallery takes kids and families on a journey to discover specific aspects of art.

The Kohl’s Art Generation Studio for all new creative activities inspired by the Kohl’s Art Generation. The studio features projects for kids and families to create together.

Take a video preview and learn more by watching the video below.

I went to The Black Eyed Peas concert last Thursday with my very pregnant BFF Andrea. We knew that the rapper Ludacris was opening for BEP, but we had NO idea that a group called LMFAO was going to go on before Ludacris.

We could not stop laughing during LMFAO! Not only is Andrea ready to pop any day, I was wearing ear plugs (flesh colored so you couldn’t see them) and every other word out of this group’s mouth was a swear word or some reference to sex. Not that we cared, except here we are “trying”  to be hip and cool at a BEP show pregnant and with ear plugs – some how the two just didn’t mix.

At one point Andrea yelled to me over the screaming crowd, “Am I the worst mom ever for coming to this show?” I answered, “No. Just make sure to remind you son when he’s a teenager that you were pretty cool in your prime!”

I have a feeling her son won’t believe that she actually went to a Ludacris and BEP concert…doesn’t matter we had a great time at the show!
