Do you remember the last time the Black Eyed Peas were in town? Let me put you in the time machine then.

The date was April 6th, 2004. I was on the air from 7pm – midnight, just across the hall at our sister station 103.7 Kiss Fm. Wow, that was a while ago! I’m getting old! :)

Anyway, The Black Eyed Peas unbeknownst to me came into the Kiss Fm studios to take over the Top 8 at 8 just before hitting the stage at The Rave / Eagles Club.

Here is the audio from that unforgettable night with “the peas”.

Black Eyed Peas are here. (2:46)

Is Fergie seeing anyone? (:43)

What do the Black Eyed Peas do after a show? (1:35)

June 24th is going to be a BIIIIIIIIIIG day at Summerfest!

We know Lady Antebellum will open for Tim McGraw at the Marcus Amphitheater — and now — we have two big MIX artists on the side stages too!

First, SHERYL CROW is coming back to the road!  The grammy winner is definitely the inspiration for a lot of today’s singer-songwriters.  She’s been taking some time off from touring to be a mom, but it’s exciting to hear that she’ll be back on the road and having some fun with us at Summerfest.

Plus, COLBIE CAILLAT, who we got to get to know up close and personal at our Mix After 5 Live last fall, will be on one of the night’s side stages.  I’m excited to see what she’s been up to, as she told our own Elizabeth Kay that she was going to be working on writing some new music…take a look below!

How do I always remember Jon Bon Jovi’s birthday? It’s one day before mine. I guess greatness was born in March? :) I’ll be 34. Jon is 48…as Director Kevin Smith said today on Twitter…He’s seen 48 birthdays… and he’s ROCKED ‘em all! Happy Birthday Jon! See you in Chicago in July!

MILWAUKEE – March 2, 2010 – Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. officials are excited to announce a second concert date has been added to feature Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers along with special guest ZZ Top.  Now, the acts will perform at the Marcus Amphitheater on Friday, June 25th and Saturday, June 26th at 7:30pm.  These two legendary bands will only perform together on the same bill this summer in one market – Milwaukee.

This spring Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers will release their twelfth studio album, Mojo. Every online ticket to their Marcus Amphitheater show comes with a download of the entire album delivered on its spring release date, preceded by two advance tracks from Mojo (“First Flash Of Freedom” and “Good Enough”) delivered via email upon purchasing the ticket online. Fans who purchase tickets online and download Mojo will also receive a selection of live tracks recorded during Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers’ 2010 Tour at the end of the summer.

Opening for Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers is ZZ Top.  ZZ Top’s 40 year career has produced hits like “Tush,” “La Grange,” “Gimme All Your Loving,” “Legs” and “Sharp Dressed Man” to name a few. One of ZZ Top’s greatest strengths is their consistently high-standard live presentation and performances. One of rock’s maverick attractions, Gibbons, Hill and Beard have retained their eccentric, colorful image, dark glasses and Stetson hats, complete with an almost casual musical dexterity that has won over hardened cynics and carping critics.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 6th at 10am for both concert datesAll tickets include Summerfest admission.  Tickets can be purchased at the Marcus Amphitheater Box Office, Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, online at Ticketmaster.com and by phone at 1.800.745.3000 (live Ticketmaster Agent) or 1.800.448.7849 (“Ticketmaster Express” automated phone line).  Patrons may also utilize “ticketfast” at Ticketmaster.com to print bar coded concert tickets from home.  Convenience fees may be added to all purchases.

Summerfest 2010 will take place June 24 – July 4 from noon until midnight daily.  The World’s Largest Music Festival and Milwaukee’s cornerstone summer celebration attracts the music industry’s hottest stars, emerging talent and local favorites.  The Marcus Amphitheater and 10 additional stages, along with a diverse selection of food and beverage vendors, marketplaces and interactive exhibits, are set against the Lake Michigan and downtown backdrops, creating a festival experience like no other.  Patrons can also enjoy Miller Lite, the Official Beer of Summerfest.  For more details visit www.Summerfest.com

John Mayer was a total gentleman and yes, now I’m smitten – he has that charm! I asked him to write on my autograph “your body is a wonderland.”  I told him my husband said that was OK.

Once he heard that I was married, he stepped back a little bit and instead wrote on my autograph “To Elizabeth, I  wrote a song Your Body is a Wonderland.” A smooth way of not offending anyone.

He’s a hottie that’s for sure!

Check out photos from the show here.

Calling it an “unprecedented live event,” Twentieth Century Fox and “Glee” co-creator Ryan Murphy are bringing the hit TV show to the concert stage.

The “Glee Live!” tour features all the stars you’ve come to know and love on the popular Fox Television series. Bringing their show personas to the stage will be Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Chris Colfer (Kurt), Kevin McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), Mark Salling (Puck), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Naya Rivera (Santana), Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum, Jr. (Mike) and Dijon Talton (Matt).

“Glee Live!” begins in Phoenix at the Dodge Theatre May 18 before heading to Los Angeles for two shows at the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal City Walk May 20-21.

Chicago is up next as the production plays the Windy City’s Rosemont Theatre May 25-26 before wrapping in NYC at Radio City Music Hall May 28-29.

“The response of the fans to our little show has been so immediate and so gratifying, we wanted to get out and thank them live and in person,” Murphy said. “And what show lends itself more to a concert than ‘Glee?’ We can’t wait to take this show on the road and the actors couldn’t be more excited to perform live for audiences in these four cities.”

For all of us digging Lady Antebellum’s new song “Need You Now,” I thought you’d appreciate a peek behind the curtain of the making of their next music video for the song “American Honey.”

(They’re releasing these webisodes every Wednesday on their website — pretty fun stuff!)
