What do you call a pug/poodle mix?  A Pugpoo?  You be the judge…on the name…I think we can all agree this dog is pretty well-behaved and would be a great BFF in your home!

sugarYou know how you get crazy ideas in your brain as you get ready for bed?  I had one last night, and this morning, I decided to run with it: I’m giving up sugar for lent.

If you were raised Catholic like me, you’ve probably given stuff up like this before (maybe more as a kid).  Over the past few days, I’ve been feeling a little sluggish, and been overly tempted by junk food, so the timing just seemed right to give this all a try.

And yes, I do try to eat healthy most of the time.  This is going to be more of a gut-check — literally.  No cookies, no white bread, no sugary cereal, no pretzels, no chips — NONE of it.  And luckily, I’ve found a site to help me out: the creatively-titled Give Up Sugar.com.  If you’ve ever thought about this, check out the site yourself — and if you’ve given up sugar — I’d love to hear how it worked for you!

THE 52ND ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS

Winner: Lady Gaga and Elton John opening the show.

Why: Anytime a new artist teams up with a legend I feel like it is a sign that the music industry is giving that artist their seal of approval.

You can watch the performance here.

From Wiki: Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American musician and actor. A cultural icon, he is widely known by the single name Elvis. He is often referred to as the “King of Rock and Roll” or simply “the King”.

In celebration of his 75th birthday here is coverage from The Elvis Impersonator Competition at the Wisconsin State Fair.
